Teaching: An Incredible Profession

photo credit: Teacher's Room at Facebook

HAPPY TEACHER'S MONTH!

Since I was 4, when asked the profession I want to be in the future I always tell them I WANT TO BE A TEACHER! In the early phased of my life I already realized that teaching is the job for me!

SHORT HISTORY OF MY TEACHING JOB:(After graduation from college I immediately hired as grade school teacher at Saviour's Christian Academy. My experiences at SCA honed me to be a better educator. I was inspired with their toughness and how they centered their lives to God, I was motivated because I have the best pupils in town. Pupils who are loving and supportive in all the things we do. I loved them like they were my own children. After my 2 years stay at the prestigious school I was hired as a substitute teacher at my Alma Matter, Roque B. Ablan Elementary School, this time it was a dream came true, I enjoyed my stay with them even for a short period of time. I learned a lot from my former elementary teachers.Due to my quest for a more challenging teaching life I tried my luck at the most prestigious school in Ilocos Region, I was hired at Mariano Marcos State University where I am still teaching as of today)

Until I became one! To be a teacher is a tough job.Imagine yourself waking up too early to catch the early first period class after sleeping too late to finish all the paper works.

Shouting and yelling to every pupils who has a louder voice than you.

Checking all the papers dump into your table after the many activities you prepared late night.

Going out form post too late in the afternoon.

Writing narratives.

Checking the 40plus pupils you have and making sure they are all OK under your care.

Doing at least all the good things in the world to show them you are a role model.

But hey!Wait! It's the best profession in town because if I have 10 reasons why I do not like teaching I have millions of reasons why I so loved my profession, my vocation, my calling from the Almighty Father!

If you are a teacher:

You have 40 pupils a year X no. of teaching years(what if you have 35 years of teaching) then you will have 1400 friends x 3 their parents, yayas, guardians throughout your 35 years in the service.

You'll never be forgotten

You have the best memory in town because you always read books and watch the news.

You are loved

You know almost all the people in the church, market, malls, everywhere.

You grow up with good values.

You can visit the hospital with free doctor's fee (because the resident doctor was once one of your pupils)

You can have a percentage off from the engineer when you build your house.

You have discounts in every establishments.

You are compensated so well (not from the government)

People always recognize you

You hold positions in churches

You made a difference in the lives of many people

You enjoy interpersonal interactions

You are the boss of your own class

You laugh everyday

You have more time with your own child(for parents)

You enjoy lots of vacations like summer and Christmas breaks unlike other jobs

Your the best artist in town

You are admired

...and etc...etc...etc...
